This series is inspired by my backpacking trip circumnavigating Mt Hood this summer. 40 miles, 10k elevation gain, views of distant mountain ranges, precarious river crossings, exhaustion and bliss. This particular view captures the moment before a spectacular alpenglow sunset over Mt Adams and Mt St Helens - seen from our campsite at Compass Creek.

This is a 6 color screen print. Each print is hand pulled, layer by layer. There are slight variations between prints, it’s what makes the medium so special.
