Workshops/Teaching

I am on faculty at Grub Street, a great non-profit writing center in Boston. In Fall 2010, I'll be teaching a six-week memoir course--"Writing from Real Life," which focuses on taking difficult/challenging life experiences and using them as material for creative non-fiction writing. Check out grubstreet.org and this website for exact dates and times.

On Sunday October 17, 2010 I'm teaching a one day workshop, "Our Lives in the Middle Ages" at Grub Street. The workshop centers on using the aging process as a source of writing material--in humorous and/or more serious directions.

I will be teaching a full weekend workshop, "Finding Your Own Place" at Easton Mountain, a retreat center for gay men, April 1-3 2011. Watch this space for more details!

I work with writers one-one, on memoir projects and personal essays. My rates are reasonable and my schedule is flexible. Email me for more details, or contact me at 617-466-9637.
